If you are an established client with us, we are accepting new patients. We are not accepting new clients at this time but hope to change this once we have a second veterinarian join our team. 


 We are open Monday through Friday 8a-5p with a lunch closure from 12:30-1:30pm


In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment is made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Mechanic Falls Veterinary Hospital is happy to accept:

Following your pet's passing, we understand you'll want to consider how to honor their memory. Here are some options available to you:

  • Burial at Home: We offer biodegradable burial bags should you choose to lay your pet to rest at home.
  • Cremation Options:
    • Pet Reef Memorial: A unique and eco-conscious choice, this transforms your pet's cremated remains into a beautiful underwater reef. These memorial reefs are placed in designated underwater gardens, contributing to the restoration of marine habitats, supporting coral growth, and enriching ocean ecosystems.
    • Private  Cremation: This option allows for the individual cremation of your pet and includes a selection of beautiful urns and a cherished clay paw print as a keepsake.
    • Need a cremation after hours, you can call MidMaine Animal Emergency Clinic at 207-777-1110 to make arrangements. 


Our trained veterinary team is available 4 days a week for urgent pet needs. Call us immediately at (207) 345-3216 if you have an emergency. Calling ahead helps us prepare. We assess emergencies individually, and in some cases, we will refer you to a 24-hour emergency facility as that will be the best option for your pet’s situation and care.

 Our first appointment is at 8am and our last appointment is at 4:15pm.


We want every visit to feel as stress-free and relaxing as possible for your beloved pet. Our goal is for them to feel safe and comfortable in our care.

If your pet gets anxious about coming to the vet, please just give us a call before their appointment. Depending on how they feel, our compassionate team can offer various options to help minimize nervousness, prevent an upset stomach, or alleviate other symptoms they might experience. We're here to help make their visit a positive one.


If your pet prefers not to be around other animals, please let us know when you schedule their appointment. We'll do our very best to find a quieter time for their visit. If a quiet time isn't available, simply leave your pet comfortably in the car when you arrive. We'll make special arrangements to bring them directly into an exam room, either through our main entrance or a quieter alternative, to ensure a calm and smooth arrival. 


We believe in giving you and your furry family member dedicated time during every visit. Our aim is for you to feel heard, for all your questions to be answered, and for your pet to receive a complete and comfortable examination.

For wellness appointments, while they're scheduled every 15 minutes, we suggest setting aside 20-30 minutes. This allows our team to take a thorough history, gives our doctor time for a comprehensive exam, and ensures you head home with all the information and preventative care products your pet needs to stay healthy.


When your pet is under the weather, our illness appointments are scheduled for 15-30 minutes, depending on their specific symptoms. Depending on the diagnostics and care required, you might be with us for around 45-90 minutes. We firmly believe in taking our time. We'd never want to rush an appointment and risk not providing your pet with the complete and proper care they need to feel better. 


Because we currently have one doctor, we're not able to offer house calls. If your pet isn't able to come to our office and needs a home visit, please give us a call. We'll be happy to provide you with the names and phone numbers of local veterinarians who offer this service.


We understand the financial aspect of your beloved pet's care is important to your family and your budget. Because we collaborate with you and tailor every wellness and illness appointment precisely to your pet's individual needs, their unique lifestyle, and your budget, we aren't able to give estimates online.

When you reach out to schedule, please don't hesitate to request a preliminary estimate. This will offer a general idea of costs, and while it won't be perfectly specific to your pet, it's a great place to start our conversation.


Once our veterinarian has had the opportunity to examine your family companion and carefully review their specific health history, together, we'll be able to provide a more precise and accurate estimate that's truly tailored to their unique needs and your budget. Our promise is always to deliver the best possible care while maintaining complete transparency with you every step of the way.

Mail Delivery: We're Happy to Help

If online shopping isn't for you, no problem at all! We're happy to take payment over the phone and mail your pet's preventatives, medications, and food directly to you. Please note there will be a small fee to cover shipping and handling. We're here to work with you to make sure your pet's health needs are met, no matter what.
